Mi dad just came from from Japan this mornin and arrived home at bout 2. He got some pictures he took in Japan and then showed me today. So here are some of the more interesting pictures of Japan:
Skirt for a young 'lady' tree. Lolz... actually this protects the bud of the young tree from the cold wind so that it would flower in spring.
This is the roof of dunno which building. It consists of no nails at all, Just interlocking beams. Wonder how those ppl design those things...

These are brown cups to guide the water from the gutter (my version- longkang on the roof), to the ground. Unique isnt it... this just shows how thoughtful the Japanese are... They are afraid that the water might get lost on the way. Lolz jus joking.
This is some kinda door drum. Looks like an oversized coin hor?
The roof of this building is completely made of straw. Wonder how the compress the starw until liddat. This roof keeps the warmth in in winter and keeps the heat out in summer as straw is an insulator. Multi-purpose roof eh?
