The day started with Nat appeared at my house and gave me a rose and a handdrawn plate! I love the plate so cuteeee!:D but i cant eat on it=[
Haha its supposed to be his decoy tricking me into believing that its all he prepared for me haha!

After that we set off for dinner! The plan was originally to blindfold me all the way there! Luckily in the end he didnt hahaha because it was so complicated to get there and when i was there i didnt even know the place anyway! Haha!
We took a bus down to newton, and then took the train southward and nat tried to trick me that we overshot the stop, and unfortunately succeeded haha ass! We took to the end to marina bay, so of course i was like Yay we're going to marina barrage! :D :D We walked to the ulu bussstop and waited for the bus. Then we took the bus which didnt go to barrage! Ended up at Marina South pier. hahaha never ever been there before! But its quite a nice place just that theres barely anybody, just two restaurants and a nice rooftop facing the sea, and there are nice huge rattan chairs to sit in. Nat was being so secretive all the way! Cannot tell me where we're going, cannot let me look at his messages, just kept going ' oh no i hope the rain stops'.
It was so sad that it was raining. Actually it was drizzling but nat's original plan was still foiled and had to go for his Plan B! In the end it was still wonderful though:D

We reached around 720 and went up to the rooftop and hung around. Wiped the chair and sat down. I was like 'hmmmmm.... what are we doinghere? is somebody or something supposed to appear?" hahah but then we just sat there for very long with no apparent reason. All the place has was a cafe, and a seafood restaurant and this:

At 750 we got to the first floor and walked towards the boat:D I had no idea what it was actually haha. But we were greeted by a super nice waitress, then we were ushered to a table. On the table was a black book and a rose. And i was still very blur i thought it was the decor and menu or something hahahah! But after that i saw the words on it :D and knew it was for me. And how did it magically appear there by itself? Nat travelled all the way to this ulu place in the morning and brought the rose and book just so it would be on the table when we came hahah omg so sweet. Then he had a meeting with the boss and laid down his plans for the night haha! so funny

I love the book so much. It was a record of what we've gone through so far. Though nat thinks its ugly, its so most beautiful to me because its filled with pages of his sincere words. Haha everytime i read it i feel like crying (ya im a crybaby), thats why when i was almost going to i would put it down and eat first hahaha. bet you didnt know that nattt:D

The place is called Stewords Riverboat. Its a christian restaurant :D Theres three levels and the top being the open air dining area where we can dine in the sea breeze. But because of the rain and a lack of manpower the people couldnt clean up in time for us to have dinner there.
But i liked the first level alot too
Heres the interior of first level. Its really pretty! To the left was a window through which i could see the sea. On weekends jazz musicians would come to play live. And as you eat you sway with the waves haha.

After we sat down a waiter came and lit a candle for us, and i didnt realise until nat told me that our table was the only one with a nice table cloth and lit candle! The people are so niceeee!

Then we got the menu and ordered food and i accidentally burnt the menu HAHAHAHA!with the candle! Omg so embarassing i felt so bad especially when theyre so nice to us haha!

We ordered buffalo wings which was sour but had a very nice cream dip,

and _________ which is grilled fish with alot of spring onions and a super nice crispy potato thing. It was a nice dinner havent ate so much fish in a long time hahaha! It was really filling surprisingly!

And i ordered Promised Land, which are soft buns soaked in maple syrup and pan fried. Oh gosh its sooooooo goooood! Totally in love with it haha its like ultimate comfort food :D and there was a yoghurt dip by the side as well which is very sour haha but still nice :D comon everything tastes nice on your one year :D

I wanted to go up to the open air dining area just to take a look, but somehow nat ordered dessert and said we could have it upstairs. I was wondering why cause the tables and chairs would still be wet anyway. But we went up and found a dried table with an electronic candle! The waiter/waitresses dried just one table for us so we could have dessert up there. So nice!

Our sundae came and before we could finish it, the waitress came with this! with a lit candle too. Oh gosh so niceeee so sweet. This dessert was a complementary from the boss for us :D so nice! And they allocated a waitress specially for us though they only have 3 waiters that day haha gosh. Stewords should get an award for bestest service ever.

So we had our dessert under the night sky in the sea breeze. Had a really wonderful time. Thank you Naaaaaaaatttttttttt I know you put in so much effort into planning for this. Love you loads and loads and loads. and the other day i was being sad about being a failure in life, not getting my h3 and injuring myself yet again, but then now i know i did at least one thing right in my life, which is getting to know you(:

Potato adventures!

We really liked the crispy potato pancake thing we had at Riverboat :D So we decided to try to make our own version! With our extensive knowledge of cooking derived from martha, rachel, jamie, etc etc etc, we set out on our recipe creation.

We poked the potatoes, boiled them, soaked them in cold water, peeled them, chopped them up, mixed them with chopped spring onion, salt, pepper, egg... Tadaah!



Then we coated them with flour and fried them! and there was alot alot of smoke dont know why hahaha! The frying was quite smooth going, look it looks so pretty!

Eventually it tasted nothing like what we had at riverboat hahahahah! Dont know how they make theirs so yummy and crispy! secret seasoning and secret coating (:
But ours was okay, Passable! :D at least it tasted like potato! hahahah! my mum said it was not bad haha.

Apple crumble!

15th Nov

After church Nat and I was just wandering around Pasir Ris with nothing to do, sooo.... we decided to go make apple crumble! :D

Apple crumble is like the easiest thing to make other than brownies and it tastes so awesome!
The only difficult step is peeling the apples really. Actually not difficult but more like irritating! The apple skin flies everywhere, and violent people like nat makes the apple mushy and gross haha! After that everything is easy peasy :D

Apple Crumble

Ingredients	Units: Metric US Imperial UK Imperial
4 cooking apples 250 g white sugar 200 g plain white flour 120 g butter 1 clove or cinnamon stick 1 wooden spoon 1 pan with lid 1 bowl 1 shallow oven proof serving dish	Serves: 4 Preparation Time: 15 minutes Cooking Time: 30 minutes Oven Temperature: 150° c - 300° f

1. Peel the apples

   Firstly, peel and core the apples and roughly dice them into chunks.

2. Cook the apples

   Put the apple chunks into a pan, add three quarters of the sugar, the cinnamon stick or clove and cover.

3. Stew the apples

   Allow to stew gently for half an hour, stirring occasionally with a wooden spoon. Keep checking as they can easily burn at the beginning.

4. Check the apples

   Check that the fruit is cooked by mashing it a bit with the wooden spoon. The apples should be soft but not puréed.

5. Allow to cool

   Put the apples into the serving dish and allow to cool.

6. Make the crumble

   Mix the white flour, remaining sugar and the butter with your fingers in a bowl until it becomes like a breadcrumb consistency.

7. Preheat the oven

   Set the temperature of the oven to 150ºC (300ºF/ gas mark 2).

8. Add the crumble topping

   Cover the stewed apples with the crumble topping, without pressing down.

9. Cook the apple crumble

   Bake for approximately 30 minutes or until the crumble is golden brown and crunchy.

10. Serve

    Spoon a helping of apple crumble into a dish and serve with cream or ice cream.

Finally. The end of the torture has come! OP is overrrr! And I didn't do as well as I should though im still proud of the effort :) Yay the whole group did well and I'm just really glad that we pulled through together. And the best thing would be seeing an 'A' on our cert next year, that of each and every one of us in the team, and in the class! I really think its highly likely :D

Coming to think of it, I've always just complained and complained at how PW is such an annoyance and waste of our time and energy, but failed to realise the other good things that come with it. Especially the fact that that I have an awesome team :)) Haha I could never write the kinda words that YunHao writes (yes witness his bullcrapping skills), but I feel the same way as he does.

I suddenly feel bad for being so mean to him haha! He's been a great leader though very naggy :) I'm thankful for this leader that we can always depend on to find our direction! :)

Nat decided to bring me to cine and wanted to bring me to a secret place on level 9 to play games but we were too paiseh to ask what games and were clueless how to book a room to play so we decided not to!and on our way out,Nat decided to try his luck at the $1 grabbing machine!

The machine grabbed the domokun nat was aiming for!but!the lousy claw released the domokun before it reached the hole!D: but it bounced into the hole and as it bounced into the hole it dragged it's best friend along!domokun no.2!:D WE GOT 2 DOMOKUNS!!! $1! ONE TRY!woooooo~ cause i'm Nat's lucky star.

Wheww I've been in school for 3 days already since coming back from SuZhou and so much stuff have happened!

Firstly was dealing with promo results! Was quite fine with everything except econs and bio.
Overall results are not satisfactory though i managed to scrape H3 criteria D: but now im not so sure about it, i dont know whether I'll be able to cope with so much stuff going on next year...

Then was fac outing prep rush!
Haha Im so excited about Zhu-on its going to be so good:D Comon the banner already says so much already!

I was so proud of us when i saw it on tuesday! :D :D :D :D :D

Had a dry run on wednesday, spent practically the whole day carrying tables and benches all around, setting up stage, hanging up and fixing our centerpiece, and hanging banner. Hahah it was fun really, though so much physical work.
Today was random stuff

At the same time there was class bonding!

Class breakfast yesterday! because school ended at 10, we ordered in Macs

De Wei and YiFei are totally disgusting, they were eating mixes of the most disgusting stuff = butter + jam + chilli + chocolate sauce + maple syrup + milk tea.

I'll be missing out on faculty breakfast, fac outing annoucement and scream (and collection of papers). D: D: D:
oh mannnn :( quite sad to miss out, breakfast will be a success and it'll be fun :) And i cant wait to see the completed fac outing banner. We spent almost the whole saturday painting it but its not done yet, but from what was finish on saturday it sure looks nice :D

The days rid of promos are good.... :) :)
Last Thursday was preparing to go out with nat, and he suddenly appeared at my door with this!

Its as big as a pizza (It expanded out of the pizza pan actually)
I've never seen such a huge cookie before! Omg hahahaha! And coming alot in the surprise was pumpkin bear! Its so cuteeeee! :D
I love my pumpkin bear! It has an identity crisis and thinks its a pumpkin when its actually a big bear. So cute!


Yayee nat is retarded!:D hahahaha
I was so sad when i had to break it (it was really too big to eat. really.)

Sabbaticals! 12th and 13th

Sabbaticals were really fun i would say :D (So much better than Nanyang's really) Its cool to be able to learn something new!
For the first day I had Fashion Design which wasnt much of Fashion Design actually, but but but I sewed a skirt myself from a piece of fabric!! :D complete with the darts and zip and hems :D
It was supposed to be a sexy pencil skirt but there was no more time to sew the tapered bottom so it ended up as an A line skirt. Its okay i still love it the same :D




hahaha ours is second from the right :D And it looks nothing like the design we came up with which Jin-Faye drew haha! Thus realising that designing and executing are two totally different matters.
And I made new friends :D

Second day was Street Jazz!
Alot of funnnnnnnnnnnnnn! :D :D love dancing
and it was the day that i realised easy dances do still exist in the world, and how I miss that!
The choreo was very cute but easy to do at the same time. woww :O
And we have free 1 day pass to open classes whooo!


Yep thats all for Sabbs it was good fun(: though i didnt end up in the courses i wanted but yes it was still enriching! and I learnt new stuff instead of just sticking to what I liked to do.

The feeling didnt sink in until today when i went for band prac in the morning, I could just rot in the bus for one and a half hour without feeling pressured or guilty. Oh gosh its a nice feeling =]

Yesterday was fun fun fun! Went out to town after the paper and realised that i havent been there for so long! :O Orchard changed so much! New artsy stuff outside ion, paragon progressed in its facelift.
We went to eat at Manhattan's fish market!
(1) Nobody finished their food hahahah!
(2) Wah first time i saw jinfaye eat so much! :O though she probably ate the least out of all of us!

Then we watched Shorts! Totally loved it!! Its a cheap thrill kinda movie =] just to make you laugh and be happy =] hahah and so many cute little angmoh boys :D they are dumb blondes in male, little kid versions. soooooo cute! especially Loogie! :D :D :D (Haha oh crap i sound like some pedophile. Im not!)

So yes, the joker of a crow slammed into my window headon. Ouch.....

But the funniest thing is that it left a mark on my window HAHAAAHA.

Hahahaha poor bird..... must have been really painful. It probably suffered a head concussion and had to go to avianhospital.

(1) Im dead for promos! Like seriously in trouble because my results have been crappy so far, I cant catch up with most of the subjects, the syllabus are going to finish only in t4w1 which means there is not really alot of time to study. Arghh -.- alot of mugging to do but....
(2) PW is irritating. I was so happy we finished WR last week but mr cheong dropped a bomb on us on tuesday that our past conservation is too close to our field of topic, so..... rethink and redo. Wahhhh massive sianness.... and after alot of thinking, we stayed back in school after lessons and chionged WR until 8pm. Haha it was so agonisizing because all our brains werent exactly working already but we just had to complete. So today we happily brought our new chapters 1 and 2 to school to get comments andddd mr cheong told us that we could just tweak our field of topic actually. Sigh i dont know whats happening, aiya, shall just wait for reply and wait for our dearest leader to sort out his thoughts too. Haha actually i feel super bad because yunhao is doing so much for PW hahaha, but the rest of us agreed that we dont understand his train of thoughts so we should leave him to his own intellectual wars then come in after that to supplement. hahaha!
(3) Im turning into a fat lazy pig. No exercise + alot of comfort food eating cos too much stress = weight gain + fats accumulation = fat lazy pig.
(4) I have come to realise that 7J is such a super nice class. Though we are nerdy and uncool (aiyah cos of the guys!) but everybody is just so super nice and lovely to hang around with. =]]] Jinfaye even made it a point that we must defend our class guys! we cannot let other people bully them or laugh at them, only we can make fun of them! Ahhaha!
7J is the coolest class, and for the right reasons =]
(5) I need to refocus and sort out my priorities! D:

Oh nooooo
haha i fell sick on wednesday, woke up on Thursday with a high fever which didnt feel hot to the touch until i went to the doctor in the afternoon and his thermometer measured 38.9 C haha i didnt know it was that high.
Never been so sick before! The walk to and back from the doctor's is just scary because i felt like i could faint anytime. All I've been doing the past two days is sleep, wake up go to my sofa and fall asleep again, go to my brothers bed and fall asleep, and it goes on. All i've eaten the past 48 hours is a bowl of porridge, alot of cooling tea and lots of pills haha. Thank you natty fatty for bringing me porridge and apple juice(yay) and healthy food though you couldnt walk with your huge blister haha =[
Yuck scary illness, thankful im getting better, though the fever isnt gone, but at least i have the energy to watch tv and come online now. haha i cant believe i was so tired that i couldnt turn on my computer and come online. Now my big problem is this huge muscle ache i have in my back, I dont even know where it came from. Aiyoo so this is what it feels like being old. Not good not good =[

finally! it came at the right time. school is a crazy mad rush and constant guilt haha
Had a dayful of PW yesterday. I stayed up till 3am doing my Eom, but it was worth it because im so proud of it now. Stayed back after school to rush chapters. was productive. I finally finished my work due 2 months ago haha im really really sorry yunhao. and the weirdest thing happened. Yunhao the cheapo treated us to swensons! :O haha yes as you guessed it because he had swensons vouchers, but still, its money and we appreciate it ! (: thank you cheapo!(: Jinfaye and i shared a banana crumble which was so niceeeee!
Haha it was fun hanging out with the two guys though outsiders probably secretly labelled them hwachong nerds, and we were seen with them!DD: haha okay shant be so bad,
Everybody! though hwachong guys all look like geeks, they are all actually very nice people(: and thats all that matters.
Im still really thankful that the environment im in is so protected, where everybody is so nice and non-bitchy, non-backstabbing. Love 7J!

Today was national day celebrations which was horrible cause of reasons. The program was kinda bad.
'uh their marching is terrible. huh? whats happening? this talk has nothing to do with national day! uh okay malay dance with vivian cross-dressed as a guy! patrotic songs awwww! -END- huhhh it ended??? what???"
yep thats basically it. hah so super lousyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Then erwin and i went to eat Macs first to let the crowds clear so that we can get on the bus to orchard. but in the end it was an epic failure we waited for two 174s, for like 30 mins at the bus stop, but we still couldnt get up the bus because it was just too packed. In the end we had to cab -.- Walked around looking for bags, from wheelock to fareast to taka heeren wisma and ion. Finally made it to ion! and i love the place already except that it is too super crowded that it is such a put off. It was opening day for Uniqlo and the place was just flooded with aunties and schoolkids! The good side is that practically all the brands are there so its a one stop mall with interesting food i want to try!
After Erwin bought his too huge bag, we decided to go over to amanda's house cos she and Rina were skateboarding! And i learnt how to skateboard today yay, though its not the conventional kind but the new kind that can twist in the middle. Took so long to learn how to mount it, then took so long to learn how to balance, and move straight forward, and turn right. haha it was fun amidst the sweat and mozzie bites. never thought i would learn how to skateboard. Then went upstairs and found her sisters watching kungfu hustle so we watched and commented on how dramatic it is. Played with charcoal my favourite little doggie! Then played cards to while away time. Had dinner with them before coming home to rest because theres dance at 8am tomorrow D:
I love having dinner at amanda's. I think its very sweet that they wait for their mummy to come home from work, have their cousins come over, turn off the tv, and everybody sits at the dining table to have a home-cooked meal together while chatting. It just feels nice.

It was good having things to occupy my mind, keep myself off constantly thinking about sad stuff. Yep my relationship hit rocks again. I dont know why it keeps doing so. Im so tired of caring so much i just dont have energy anymore and im taking a break this time. Pray for me.

haha i totally forgot about my blog and updating! ah well in short school has been boring/ tiring/ fun :) soooo much work to do! i'll make it!

7J had GEMS today which was really surprisingly fun cos of all the camwhoring hhaahah!
basically... we went to high school canteen and learnt how to cook chicken chop from the auntie hahahaha! so super funny all we did was to put the chicken on the stove! and see how she made mash potato (she just added heaps of some powder into warm water and stirred and it turned into mash potato. oh gosh disgusting now we know whats our mash potato made of eeee.) and then serve the food by adding sauce and the greens. hahahaha so funny. had a good time with the class though =]]]] some really funny moments haha like lai yit khai suddenly prancing all around shrieking in some gay voice, attempting to imitate the girls in camwhoring. hahahaha epic seriously!

alright anyway i love love love this routine! though the judges didnt but i loved it! so twisted and funny hahaa

Back in school on Friday! was a terribly long day. dreadful school even though when i was at home i was complaining how boring it was. just cant decide which is better haha.
and the homework just keep piling there so much to catch up! when especially my grades suck so badly. Boo :( i need to study hard and do well.

Had first dance practice after ayg today and it was so super tiring. Did so much technical stuff, went through all the basic plies and positions and tondu etc etc and did pirouettes and so much jumps and learnt a turn jump, andddd still had choreography. Haha at least it feels good that im exercising again.

Im massively bored at home with nothing to eat. Refusal to do homework, and blogger is messed up so i cant upload photos. Irritating! Im bored and im still not sick

Today marked the most interesting day of school ever haha!

It was kinda fun having such a small class though, we only filled up one row of the normal classroom hahaha.
For PT, we just had a 15 minute briefing/update/random sharing about a 3m python. haha then we spent the rest of the hour at the class bench eating cake!:D and slacking around. The cake was from last Friday for celebrating yiffy's birthday, but since we all got sent home nobody had the mood to eat cake haha! So we had to eat it today lest it spoils :) fun fun.
Then after that boonhui got a call from the office and got a leave of absence. D:
one more down! even before school barely started for an hour.

Alright then was bio tutorial, which was the funnest funniest bio tutorial ever. We all sat in a row at the last row of class, and spent the hour trying to scare Ms Yang. Was so super hilarious :)

"You know the rest of the class are all sick! and Mrs Lim, Mrs Tan, Mr Cheong fell sick too! oh no miss yang you're in high risk!"

Us: *randomly start coughing and sniffing*
Miss Yang:"Eh you all don't anyhow cough leh! I'm very stressed you know!"

Ms Yang: "Okay so i still have to continue with lesson, so take back your tutorials."
Us:"But you cannot come near us! Okay you can tie it and throw it over to us!"

Miss Yang:"Alright lets start with lesson."
Joleen:"No cannot! Later we start coughing how!" *starts coughing*
Miss Yang:"No, dont anyhow start coughing ah!
Wah Joleen you threatening me! Threatening teachers 4 demerit points okay!"

Hahaha! Funny to the max. And halfway through Ryan got a call from Dewei saying hes a another confirmed case. So the whole lesson we were holding on to our phones waiting for admin to call to tell us we all have LOA. Haha!

However due to some reasons they didnt call us, so we decided to go for class lunch together, where we were shunned like mad and everybody asking why we were in school haha!

We went for chem lecture and had all our phones on the tables waiting for calls from the office because they still havent called. It was only after lecture that we called the office and went to turn ourselves in haha! Anyway i was in close contact with Dewei and went to buy presents for yifei with jinfaye and nicole on Thursday. In the end so many of us got LOA so they just thought they'd just give it to the whole class if not theres no point if 3 people come for class.

And the happenings after that are not to be disclosed :))

Anyway it was such an interesting day :) scheming and scaring people together :)

im home so early for a first! though not for a good reason
chengyan, my classmate, has been confirmed to have contracted h1n1!
so my whole class just got sent home in the middle of GP lesson.
oh goodness! hahahaha oh man dont know whether to be happy or sad!
All started yesterday when everybody started falling ill by the end of school, and today 9 people were absent for school!!!(!!!) including birthday boy yiffy! oh man so super sad.
Now i dont know whether i can make it for all my weekend plans. I want to go for amanda's birthday barbeque tonight!

I feel alright but I was so close to so many sick people yesterday, joleen, nicole, dewei, vanessa. oh man! i wanna go out but i feel the need to protect others health!D:

Yep as Siling said, we wont have a chance to plop down on a kitchen floor together just enjoying time together hanging around, cos in 48 hours we are back to the grind.
