Heyyyyy!

Happy mooncake festival!!!

i love mooncake festival! i want to go carry lanterns with the little kids and scream and shout in excitement when the candle topples and our lanterns start to burn. woohoo^^ how fun is that.
i remember i used to do so when i was young. all the little kids in estella gather together at the clubhouse and everybody lights our candles, gets help from mummy to stick it in the lantern. then when everyones ready we set off on a trip around our barely lit condo with our pretty lanterns and their dim candles inside them trying to stay alive and burn well. it was like the funnest adventure i could have back then.
and i remember sometimes when the candles topple and starts burning the whole lantern, there would be screams and shouts and sighs of pity but secretly i was really happy watching my lantern burn. because there was fire, big fire, and fire was something taboo and of the 'dark side' back then. =]]]]]]
and after everybody gathers back at the club house, eat mooncakes merrily and have funny games like "draw the pomelo!" :D

haha so i did have a childhood after all =]
i want to go burn some lanterns again! how fun!

the other thing i love about the mooncake festival are the mooncakes! :D just nice traditional food though its scarily packed with calories. so dont go read up on it. just eat if not you wont be able to after that =]

thirdly, the best thing about this festival is............ the mooncake boxes!!!!
they are just too pretty! There are so many pretty pretty pretty boxes all over the place, with so many almost genius designs. just appreciate the workmanship. dont you just love them and just unknowingly become happy looking at them! i do!
i want to collect all the pretty boxes but i dont have enough money to buy all of them nor enough space to store all of them. aw dang!

last but not least, the thing i love about the mooncake festival is of course, the big fat bright moon! it looks lovely hanging in the sky doing its own little thing - shining for us. :)
