I was craving for ruffles today! Cheese!
And so i went to the petrol kiosk and bought a big packet of ruffles! yay happy!!!
And im gonna sit in my comfy bed beside my artistically messy table, youtubing while pigging out on my ruffles!
Sigh its the best moment in the week. Just what i needed, a nice break in the midst of a crazy time.
This week, once again i've realised how food is so important and lovely in my life!

Donuts!
I really really wanted to eat donuts since last week. Then i really really really really wanted to eat donuts yesterday, since Zhuolaoshi talked about the long queue for donuts at raffles city.
THEN YAY MY DADDY BOUGHT DONUTS FOR ME TODAY!!!!

Donuts are so fluffy and lovely! they really should classify under comfort foods too!

Seniors came back,
And juniors had a crying session. I dont know how it started but woah was it infectious! Everybody was crying in 15 minutes.
We (seniors) just went around comforting everybody. And its so painful to see our juniors like that, especially when the cause is not just stress from school, when its about their friendship already =[[[ Sigh. Its heartaching to see their relationship straining. =[
But Im glad they made up already and are back to the bonded team im so proud of them as =]
Of course, today was yet another training to convince me that my juniors are mad.

cant believe its monday again argh! Life is totally like a brainless routine which goes on and on with every monday being an exceptionally sad and tiring day. =[

Today was the first baking sales. It went uhhh rather well though it sold quite slowly. We finished selling everything yay! And i brought home amanda's cookies crumbs and finished them all D: WAAAA! Hahaha its yummylicious! but waaaaaaa im eating too much. Im adding on weight like the speed of superman TT Stop eating!
I fell on the tramp during training gahhh!
I havent fell in so long and i dont want to!
I especially dont want it to happen during comps again!

Just came back from training. reached home at 10....
wa..... the bus took so long to come =[ I'll make sure my daddy comes pick me up when he comes back from paris x[
Today was another sad day. Haha okay everyday is sad. School is boringggg......
Had my second appointment for braces and now i have a spring-like thing in there. And my orthodontist wants me to start a trend in school. the brush-teeth-after-eating trend -.-
Nooooooo... its so weird to brush your teeth in school. i cant imagine going into the toilet after lunch and seeing people brushing their teeth. argh...
Went to SJI to find all the juniors wearing comp leo hahah! its seriously not our fault we didnt know! haha! Training today was kind of slack. very slack actually. i think i didnt even complete 10 taos. and my qian kongs are killing meeeee..... =[
My legs are hurting =[

Back! Yay back so early haha =] 6.30
It was kind of a worse school day today. Physics right in the morning... and i really still dont understand much.
We continued watching The Village today. Its cool! although the ending is retarded, like how hana kimi's ending is too. Hahah today's segment was freaky! like a horror movie! Dx Rachel was screaming and screaming away, making the rest of us scared too. Haha its really funny when the whole LT screams together =]] The part when Noah went mad and stabbed Lucious was so freaky..... morbid.... sick!!! And i liked Noah coz i remembered he was a nice actor in another movie. sigh... =[
Wrote compo AGAIN for chinese lesson, and had chem lab after that. last lesson was maths................ arghhh i hate staring at weird circles trying so hard to find random angles, and in the end theres no point. Why do we even want to know how to find angles in circles 8(
Amanda and I had chinese remedial after school. Jeanne had hers too. Haha this just proves one thing, gymmers arent really good in chinese heh! =]
Training was ouch. I think i strained my back and my calf was throbbing. pain.
Im glad i did ONE nice tao today. Although i bent my legs and didnt close them either, at least it felt nice, and thats all that matters to me.

I was dozing off for every lesson, except LA lecture since we got to watch a movie! The Village. Its kinda freaky but cool! =]
After school was art......... spent drawing bottles and pot -.-
And after art was training.......... dreaded............
But today's training was kinda slack and happy though =]
My juniors are mad too! haha when i stepped inside they all told me they felt like puking -.- except zoe and minyi. It was kinda freaky all my juniors sick at the same time =[ And then next thing i knew livia screamed and started jumping on the tramp, while wiping away tears. like huh!?!?! It really freaked me out and then all of them started dying and lying on the tumble track, whining and wanting to jump while jeanne tried stopping them. And then later they all just started jumping and bouncing all over doing all sorts of funny stuff on the tramp -.- Okay that just freaked me out even more, especially when livia said she was feeling high and started laughing weirdly -.-
In the end everyone magically got well again! Hahah see! mad juniors! :D
Im just really glad they are trying their best to improve! Everybodys asking about their taos and trying really hard to do what we tell them to. And the juniors are a really bonded team =]]

And I realised its the juniors who make trainings so funny now hahaha! power of being young! Bdiv is old now and stopped our crapping. Haha i totally feel like an old ahma with a bunch of crazy grandchildren =] YAY for juniors! =]
I finally reached home at 9.40 TT And so i have been writing my essay till now =] hmm how come i took so long o.o Anyway I was feeling so rubbishy and my essay is kinda trashy now, but i dont care! because its really what i feel and im not gonna cheat myself for politically correct essays now!

GRAH im tired D:
Today was flagday! Kinda interesting but kinda sucks too.
We met at Newton MRT and collected our tincans. Then Rachel, Jasmine, WingYau and me took the MRT to city hall and walked to suntec city where it was DESERTED. gosh the school is kinda dumb to let us sell flags at 8.30 in the morning. Who in the world even steps out of the house before 8.30. So we decided to go to orchad which maybe had more people.
When we stepped out of somerset we immediately saw lili and shiing opposite the road haha! SJI zhonghua and some other schools were selling flags at orchad too -.- We all had the same tin can donating to the same charity. I think its kinda =/
So then me and rachel plonked ourselves outside somerset MRT from 9 to 12 getting daoed and shunned TT. We totally wanted to die listening to the same commercials playing at the big screen too especially when there was a commercial for a new jap singer's album and we listened to her singing the same part for 3 hours...... over and over again....... it was TORTURE
Anyway I think i was a bit too happy when the first person dropped her coin in my tincan! haha! :D Eventually more and more people steamed out of the MRT every time but less and less people donated somehow. So rachel and I concluded that nice people wake up early! :D
I realised today that Singapore actually does have nice people! Although its only err 5%?

WHEE LALA!!! today was a HAPPY day!!!!!!!! finally! =DD
Training was at SJI today! i love the sji tramp!! haha okay not exactly but at least it makes me feel safer than the nanyang one ^^ And im proud of myself today!!! I didnt shibai although wang asked us to bi3 sai4 (mock competition) straight even before we jumped at all. I waas totally freaked out but i did it yay!!!!!
And harry potter! That harry potter SJI guy who i think is called Ernest changed so much! He used to looks like harry potter always smiling but now he looks so ragged =/
Peixi and Cenjun came to visit us today yay!! =D and we went to coro to have lunch and chit chat after training =]]]
Tonight i went out for my birthday dinner!
It was this dinner buffet at this nice jap restaurant at Marina Square which offered a barbeque and steamboat. It was just free flow of everything and so we grab whatever we want and cook it ourselves.
This is the steamboat thing with alot of stuff inside =D
The teppanyaki is yummy!!! The beef is reallyyyy yummy!!!
Its a really great place for gatherings! Almost everybody there are teens.
Comon who wants to go for some good food some day =D

WOR my bro just bought a tube of mister potato for me plus some waterchestnut and sugarcane drink -.- My first ever birthday gift from him! And the first thing he did was to open the drink and drink it. -.- so self service.

There was gym in the morning and after that went to orchad with yiyan to just hang out. i realised since i couldnt peacefully stay at home the whole day, i might as well be out the whole day =] so we ate lunch and met up with patty and just walked all around orchad trying to find presents for the other march babies. i still didnt manage to buy any in the end xD but i had a super happy day eating today hahaha. had long johns, then venezia, then takopachi, then bought marshmallows, then cappuccino haha. i wanted to buy a bigO from NYDC but didnt in the end =[
So then i came home! =]
It was a nice day today! Thank you Yiyan and Patty for spending the day with me walking around aimlessly at orchad! =DDD
And THANK YOU to everybody who remembered! really really appreciated that sms, call, ecard or friendster testimonal! Thank you!!!

Day Four - The wild dogs' barks woke us up, though we were still late haha. After packing up we went to meet Sam and he brought us up to the top of the hill to see the sunrise. We couldnt really see much but the morning view of singapore over the ocean was nice =] drowsy sleepy singapore.
We then picked up our super heavy haversacks and started on a 7 or 8 hour trek all over the island and back to camp 2. It was super duper tiring and our shoulders were achingg TT but Columbus survived! yay! Along the way Ashleen started telling the yellow ribbon story in chinese. I thought the story was so touching!!! Hahaah and it was also super funny the way Ashleen said it =DD Great job Ashy! The story was something like this,

Its such a nice story..... =]
After travelling on, we came to the top of some hill, the highest point in pulau ubin. and WOAH the scene below was so pretty!!! it was a freshwater lake and the water was a beautiful blue. We could also see the rest of pulau ubin though it was really all covered with trees =]]] We had our lunch there and Sam made us stand at the edge of the cliff to shout aloud our aspirations and throw a stone down into the lake. It was a nice little activity =]]
We then carried on to our other checkpoints after that. Somewhere along the way, we came to a little shrine, the German Girl Shrine. i found the story behind the shrine very interesting =]
After an amazing 7 hours of walking and resting and walking again, we finally reached camp 2! home sweet home! I never realised on day 1 that someday camp 2 would be such a pleasant place to return to =] We finally pitched our tent for the last time, cooked dinner for the last time, and had our evening circle for the last time. We did a little skit for Sam before evening circle to show our appreciation for him being such a great instructor. although he didnt really react, he didnt react at all actually, hope he felt our sincerity =] After that, we had our last activity. We were brought into the forest and told to switch off all torchlights. It was very dark and pretty scary standing there waiting. Four by four, we were brought to this well-like thing which turned out to be a tunnel built in WW11. I was rather freaked out coz i was afraid of the dark but once i got in, i just held jiale's hand tightly and we crawled inch by inch along. It was pretty fun, and especially comforting to know that theres someone to trust and guide you along and that you are not alone in the pitch dark. And so does this apply to life, its so comforting to know that there are always friends to lean on =]
It was lights out after that and our tent really really really really stank bleargh. we kept trying to fan the smell out but there was still a little x[ So me, jiale, ashleen, shiing and aoyuan had our last hearty chat before falling asleep.
Day Five - as usual we woke up late again! but we managed to finish all our packing and returning stuff back into the stall yay! Columbus was so effective for the first time! ^^we were rather early for once and while hammering pegs the artists in our group designed a card for Sam =] After finally accounting for everything in the stall, we had one nestin, one swiss knife, and 2 tent pegs missing. Everybody only paid 1buck =]
Finally, we had our last morning circle, and Ashleen just started crying, which affected some other of us. We had our final sharing as we passed a ball of twine around, representing the bonds we had forged these five days. By the end everybody shared most of us were tearing already... Then sam took out a knife to cut our 'bonds' till now i still dont know why. I just felt really sad that columbus was gonna separate, after these 5 days of bonding and doing everything together and i couldnt help but cry too. It was just a deep sadness inside that we were leaving each other, and also partly because we were returning to harsh reality.
As we were finally walking to the jetty, we said bye to Sam for the last time and walked. Then waaaaaa started crying all over again, especially seeing the boat leave further and further away from the island we devoted 5 days of our lives to. Within this very short 5 days, it was amazing how we could forge such a strong bond with 14 other people whom we werent close to, and realise so much about ourselves and the others.
And these 5 days, we also got to know a really great man! Sam! He taught us alot and was a really great instructor, never once scolding us but constantly, patiently reminding us.

After travelling on, we came to the top of some hill, the highest point in pulau ubin. and WOAH the scene below was so pretty!!! it was a freshwater lake and the water was a beautiful blue. We could also see the rest of pulau ubin though it was really all covered with trees =]]] We had our lunch there and Sam made us stand at the edge of the cliff to shout aloud our aspirations and throw a stone down into the lake. It was a nice little activity =]]
We then carried on to our other checkpoints after that. Somewhere along the way, we came to a little shrine, the German Girl Shrine. i found the story behind the shrine very interesting =]
After an amazing 7 hours of walking and resting and walking again, we finally reached camp 2! home sweet home! I never realised on day 1 that someday camp 2 would be such a pleasant place to return to =] We finally pitched our tent for the last time, cooked dinner for the last time, and had our evening circle for the last time. We did a little skit for Sam before evening circle to show our appreciation for him being such a great instructor. although he didnt really react, he didnt react at all actually, hope he felt our sincerity =] After that, we had our last activity. We were brought into the forest and told to switch off all torchlights. It was very dark and pretty scary standing there waiting. Four by four, we were brought to this well-like thing which turned out to be a tunnel built in WW11. OBS OBS OBS!!!!
I just got back from obs on Friday! with a totally different mood as i would have expected myself to be in though =[ i was feeling rather sad as i walked up to my doorstep which seemed so strange and braced myself to return to reality. I wasn't all that keen to return to civilisation, air-con or my comfy bed after all.
OBS was a totally new experience (and fun too! now that i look back) and everybody should go for obs!
First day - went to school early in the morning, and i mean really early. i think i was the second student in school la hahaha coz i took a ride from my dad's taxi since hes going to the airport. And so i sat in the canteen alone doing physics -.- rarrrrrr! before camp still gotta rush homework and soon enough people started coming and i went back to classroom where everybody were copying answers haha! gosh the beginning of the five days wasn't very encouraging.
after rushing and rushing and handing up physics we all just went to the LT stayed there, then got shuffled up a bus and before we knew it we were at punggol jetty. we then waited for quite awhile before 12 of us got onto a boat. I still remember the boat ride there was filled with uncertainty and excitement =D when we reached the other jetty the instructor accompanying our boat went "Its not too late to regret, its only a 2km swim back". like wa.... so encouraging... hahaha. i couldnt walk straight when walking to the campsite haha! im so lousy xD
The first thing we did when we got on shore was that we got lost! HAHA the scene was so funny.
[Sidetrack abit first, later in the following days when we had our circle with our instructor,
Ashleen: We have a suggestion for obs! Put signboards! the first thing we came to obs we got lost! Then some uncle had to direct us from the jetty.
Sam: By any chance was he doing this *starts waving his hands in some way*
Ashleen: I dont know, ya i think so...
Sam: That was me.
The rest of us: *laughs like mad!* HAHAHA]
After getting the correct direction we walked abit and came to a hall where we were sorted out and seated in our groups. Then a instructor went up to the front and started briefing us with his incredibly DJ-ish voice. He really sounded like a DJ! =]] After everybody arrived we had another briefing and were given our group names plus introduced to our instructors. Our group was called Columbus! [ =D unusually nice name among the others, eg battuta?? cheng ho??] and our instructor was Samuel whom we all call Sam in the end , and yes he is the DJ! And coincidentally the same instructor whom waiian had and happily told me all about! haha!
The next one hour was spent getting to know our teammates. 302: Jessica, Stefanie, Suesin, Shi Ing, Ao Yuan, Xiao Yang, Jiale and me! 310: Ashleen, Francis, Edwyna, Samantha, SuHuan, Katherine and Xiao Xiao! Columbus is love!!! And that we when we got to really get a taste of Sam's lameness. Sam is super lame!!!! But along the course i realised that most of teh instructors were too -.-
We did a check of our equipments, got our food supplies for the next five days: alot alot alot alot alot of biscuits, maggi mee, weird can food, funny prunes and raisins whom nobody ate, and lotsa bread.
After doing all these stuff we started on our outdoor adventures. Firstly we followed Sam and climbed up a long staircase which Sam calls the 'stairway to heaven' and we discovered a grass plain with all the height activities. But we continued walking and came to somewhere inside the forest where he then taught us how to pitch a tent and we were sleeping there that night! We took the tent which he pitched for demo and it was the best, non-saggy tent we had the whole five days HAHA! And jiale, me, aoyuan, shiing and ashleen decided to be tentmates =D After pitching our tents we went to do a trust fall activity, where each of us had to stand on a higher platform and fall backwards while our teammates we pulling on a blue sheet ready to catch us. i thought it was fun! =DDD And after that we learnt how to wear our harness properly and learnt the basics of rockclimbing, belaying etc.
After all of that we had to cook! YAY food! FOOD! although our rice was half-cooked,crunchy and very tiring to chew on, dinner was nice! with canned baked beans and cocktails. anything is nice when you're hungry ^^ After dinner we went to bathe and the water is sooooo cold!! x[ I kind of forgot what we did next o.o i think we gathered and Sam briefed us on packing for the next days activities and then we went to pack! We were also introduced to baby Columbus! Our super cute yellow first aid bag ^^ baby columbus is really very cute!! hahaha !After that there was a firedrill! The fire alarm was just a big bell which one of the instructors had to keep ringing. the bell is so cute! hahaha! Everybody had to go down to the jetty area and samantha saves the day since shes so tall (and even taller when she raised her hand) which makes her so easy to spot among the ren shan ren hai even from so far away HAHA!
After firedrill was lights out and i slept nearest to the opening of the tent. But i guess its the best spot since theres the most fresh air =D I flipped around for quite a while before falling asleep but i kept waking up in the middle of the night before falling back to sleep. First night was rather sad x( although i wasn't sleeping on a root like poor Aoyuan hahaha!
Second Day - We woke up early in the morning around 530, being greeted by malay prayers coming from dunno where. And on the way down from mozzie ground we bumped into a spider web! right smack in front of our faces oh gosh i cant imagine if Ashleen didn't shine the light onto it. wa so sad! haha its so freaky! we washed up and continued packing but we were late xD haha late on the first day! but Sam didnt scold us though we were really quite late. After PT and journal writing, we picked up our super duper duper duper duper duper heavy backpack and head out to our next campsite. We were totally dying as we walked to a lake and finally got to put down our bags at a alpine rescue site. The site had log structures and we were supposed to transport our stretcher with our supposedly injured casualty, which was 2 bagpacks, across to the other side. It was there also that we met our buddy watch, raleigh! (rachel's watch) and their instructor called lam (or maybe its lum). He is super lame tooo!!!!!! rarrr hahahah! And apparently Raleigh was rather close to instructor lam and they called him "lam of shit" (lump of shit) hahaha!
Anyway back to the activity, Columbus was super successful at this activity!!! we got on to the third station and only didnt manage to complete our last phase. Here, we started to bond as a watch and Columbus was really highspirited ^^ Raleigh was quite down and havent managed to complete their first stop after an hour. Maybe its because their first stop is the most challenging.
After that we put on our horrible backpacks again and trekked over to camp 1, the chalet like camp. We were really dying off as we trekked but luckily we didnt trek for very long. After putting down our haversacks we were given a tour of the pretty campsite and we were totally hyped up when we got to eat lunch there!! (at least i was!) FOOD!!! FOOOD!!!! I piled alot of rice onto my plate and we got veggie and some really nice meat and ice cold rootbeer!!!!! gosh thats the best treat after having drunk super chlorinated water straight from the tap for the previous day. I've never appreciated food so much more in my life. it was totally heavenly!! Oh yes and Ashleen teared upon seeing the nice soft rice when she thought of the rice we had cooked ourselves last night. hahahah! Sams plate was really a mountain! he really does eat alot of rice!
After the really satisfying lunch, we went rockclimbing! It wasnt all that scary afterall since i've got a fear of heights. I just climbed and worried about how to take the next step, while somewhere deep inside me i knew i wouldn't die coz jiale was belaying me down there and she wouldnt let me die either ^^ And after climbing and climbing i found i was stuck and since it was raining i came down. Thats when i realised i was so high above, maybe its nothing for you but i was really happy with my height! =DD
We had another happy dinner and then went back to pitch our tents when it stopped raining. but i found my bag plus my belongings wet!!!! so disgusting! x( After bathing and stuff we had supper, nice hot green bean soup which didnt seem very popular but i liked it =] After that we had our evening circle, sharing our thoughts on that day and then lights out. I slept right inside this time and it was so stuffy x(

Third Day - We arose with the chanting of the muslim prayers again. After packing up, we geared up for a new day of kayaking to a new campsite! Pt was some fun "left left left, right right right, forward, backward, forward forward forward" game! hahah =D we had some really nice un-milo-ish milo for breakfast and beehoon. Then we loaded our stuff onto a boat before we went off to learn kayaking, how to kayak, capsize, etc. And while Sam was teaching a big jellyfish just floated onto shore with the waves. so freaky!!!! Capsizing was so not fun, especially in the open ocean. Its like forcing yourself to kill yourself and frantically attempting to save yourself after that. Plus its especially scary when you're about to capsize and you see a jellyfish somewhere around you!!! waaa lol.
But kayaking was really fun!! =D sorry jiale for always asking you to turn!!! coz we keep overturning when we turn HAHA =DD While we were struggling and rowing for our life, our instructors were in their "Sam and Lam Loveboat", zoom forward and wait for us to slowly catch up. After about 3 hours(?) we arrived at our next campsite! I love this campsite! coz its so serene although there are wild dogs and they are rather noisy -.- The doggies are cute! Hee! =D The toilet however was horrible. the water coming from the tap is BROWN and it stinks! and there are a million mozzies in the toilet hahaha! and on the way back from the tour to the toilet we witnessed how rachel and lam bickers and its totally hilarious!!! could die laughing ahahah!!
We spent the rest of the time unpacking, pitching our tents, cooking and eating dinner. Suhuans backpack went missing and we went around hunting for it but still couldnt find it =[[[ so sad. After that sam brought us up to the top of a tiny hill and had our evening circle. It was a totally wonderful evening and our laughter ringing out into the silent night was a really cool feeling. I could really really feel the bond in our group at that moment and i knew i would totally miss columbus. Sam also shared his story that night and it was really hard to believe and touching..... after journal writing, we just lay on the pavement and looked up in the dark dark night with all the pretty stars decorating the sky with its glowing light. It was the most beautiful night sky i've seen and its probably the first time i totally felt stress free.

OBS! =]]]] yay i'll be away for 5 days getting lots of vitamin D and getting flooded by rain at pulau ubin! wheee!
its a happy thing!
However, as usual, my sunday night is stil spent doing homework -.-

Finally!!! All the suffering is over!!!
1 week of joy is waiting for us at pulau ubin! =]
it would be the only week since forever to forget all about the world and especially school. I just hope it would be a fruitful 5 days and everybody can seriously detach and have a good rest.
oh no im gonna miss hana kimi for 5 days next week. so sad!
